Kali Group is a consulting company founded in Lyon in 2021 by four founders: Fabien Triay, Corentin Averseng, Pauline Alexandre, and Shervin Kia. From the very beginning, their vision was clear: to rethink traditional consulting firm models by placing talent freedom at the heart of their approach. At Kali Group, consultants are not constrained—they are free to join the client company directly at the end of their assignment. Kali Group’s mission is to connect the right people, in the right place, at the right time.

As of 2023, Kali Group planned to open three new offices: Lille, Aix-en-Provence, and Strasbourg. Before launching this expansion, however, Kali Group wanted a business solution capable of supporting its growth and improving operational coordination. It was in this context that the firm chose Boond.

A solution to help admin and HR teams speed up operations

Before deploying Boond, Kali Group teams mainly relied on Excel and Word to manage invoicing. A significant amount of time was spent gathering information:

  • Time tracking was handled in a separate tool.For each invoice, teams had to access the employee’s file, retrieve the information, and manually transcribe it into the invoice. Time was tracked in hours, while billing was done in days.The tool offered no validation workflow, meaning everything had to be constantly checked.
  • Sales teams were constantly solicited to retrieve customer information and prepare project invoicing.
  • Invoices were created in Wordand customers were contacted by email or phone.

Deploying Boond allowed Kali Group to centralize all activity within a single tool and ensure data reliability. It also enabled all business teams to collaborate more effectively by bringing sales, HR, and administrative teams together on one shared business solution:

  • Consultants now enter their activity directly in Boond (time, expenses, absences). Onboarding was very fast thanks to a simple tutorial and the Boond mobile application, which was quickly adopted.
  • Support teams manage all data in the tool, from opportunity detection to invoicing. Time entries automatically feed into invoices, no projects can be forgotten, and invoices and reminders can be sent in just a few clicks.
  • Teams move faster and communicate better. Sharing and discussion threads on Boond records allow efficient collaboration without losing any history.

Switching everything to Boond and synchronizing all data has delivered significant time savings for teams. It has also helped reduce data entry errors. Boond’s alerting and control features enable Kali Group to manage its operations more effectively.

The fact of being able to contribute to the roadmap and regularly share suggestions for changes that are then developed is also highly appreciated by Kali Group. Finally, being able to meet the teams and also other customers of the solution during events organized by Boond is a real plus for enriching its network and detecting new business opportunities.
